    AbstrakMata kuliah IPA Terpadu di IAIN Bengkulu merupakan mata kuliah baru bagi mahasiswa Tadris IPA. Hal ini dikarenakan pada tahun 2017/2018 baru ada tiga angkatan. Sehingga, hasil belajar mata kuliah ini tidak terlalu baik. Menurut wawancara dengan salah satu mahasiswa, salah satu penyebabnya adalah kesulitan mengintegrasikan komponen kimia, fisika, biologi secara bersamaan pada satu materi tertentu. Lebih spesifiknya, mahasiswa kesulitan untuk menjelaskan satu materi tertentu yang penjabarannya harus dijelaskan secara komprehensif baik dari segi mata kuliah kimia, fisika, biologi.  Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melakukan perbaikan pembelajaran dan meningkatkan kemampuan berfikir kritis mahasiswa melalui pendekatan saintifik pada mata kuliah IPA Terpadu. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan penelitan tindakan kelas. Pembelajarannya terdiri dari dua siklus. Setiap siklus terdiri dari beberapa tahapan, yaitu; perencanaan, tindakan, observasi dan refleksi. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi dan tes hasil belajar. Waktu dilakukan pada semester genap tahun akademik 2017/2018. Subjek penelitian adalah mahasiswa program studi Tadris IPA semester dua tahun akademik 2017/2018 yang sedang menempuh matakuliah IPA Terpadu. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hasil belajar siswa yang dilakukan selama 2 siklus pembelajaran telah meningkat pada siklus yang ke-dua. Selain itu juga kemampuan berpikir kritis mahasiswa dalam pelaksanaan pembelajaran di matakuliah IPA Terpadu melalui pendekatan saintifik dapat terukur dan telah berhasil berdasarkan indikator keberhasilan. Increasing the Critical Thinking Ability of Tadris IPA Students through a Scientific Approach in Integrated Science Courses AbstractThe Integrated Science course at IAIN Bengkulu is a new subject for Tadris IPA students. This is because in 2017/2018 there were only three generations. So, the learning outcomes of this course are not very good. According to an interview with one of the students, one of the reasons is the difficulty of integrating chemical, physical, biological components simultaneously on one particular material. More specifically, students find it difficult to explain one particular material whose translation must be explained comprehensively both in terms of chemistry, physics, biology courses. Therefore, this study aims to improve learning and improve students' critical thinking skills through a scientific approach to Integrated Science courses. This research method uses classroom action research. Learning consists of two cycles. Each cycle consists of several stages, namely; planning, action, observation and reflection. Data collection techniques used are observation and learning outcomes tests. Time is carried out in the even semester of the 2017/2018 academic year. The research subjects were students of the 2017/2018 academic year Tadris IPA study program who were taking the Integrated Science course. The results showed that student learning outcomes carried out during the 2 learning cycles had increased in the second cycle. In addition, students' critical thinking skills in the implementation of learning in the Integrated Science course through a scientific approach can be measured and have been successful based on indicators of success

    The aims of this research is to synthesize literature studies in order to answer the following questions: How important is religion? knowledge and cultural studies in studying science and the relationship between religion, culture and STEM education. This type of research is a literature study. The research method was to synthesize this literature following several steps to ensure the validity of the results. The results obtained indicate that the development of scientific literacy skills in education needs to be based on ethnographic-religious study-based learning. When students are invited to see the natural surroundings of phenomena including local culture, indirectly students will be invited to think literally about science. Various studies have proven that ethnoscience-based learning can help students to improve students' scientific literacy skills and this is an update in this research.     Analisis Keterkaitan Motivasi Dan Apersepsi Terhadap Hasil Belajar IPS

    Hasil belajar IPS yang didapatkan oleh siswa usia sekolah dasar bervariasi mulai dari ketegori rendah, sedang dan tinggi. Nuansa tersebut berasal dari berbagai faktor. Faktor yang diteliti adalah variabel apersepsi dan motivasi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah tes hasil belajar, kuesioner, dan wawancara untuk memperkuat analisis keterkaitannya. Uji t digunakan untuk mengetahui hubungan dari tiga variabel tersebut. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat korelasi positif antara apersepsi terhadap hasil belajar IPS dimana Fhitung < Ftabel dengan α = 0,05 dengan (1,21 < 1,86 ). Korelasi positif juga didapatkan motivasi dengan hasil belajar IPS dimana dimana Fhitung < Ftabel dengan α = 0,05 dengan (1,03<1,86)

    This research aims to examine whether there is an influence of self-confidence in students' motivation to achievement in science lesson in elementary schools. This is a field research, where the researchers are involved directly down to the place of research to collect the data relevant to the indicators in the research objectives, which classifies this as a field research with a correlational quantitative approach. Correlational quantitative research is research to determine the level of relations between two or more variables, without making changes, additions, or manipulations of data that already exists. The data analysis techniques was done by observations and questionnaires instruments. Based on the results of analysis with manual calculations,&nbsp; the R Square correlation coefficient is 0.39 or 39% which means that self-confidence affects student motivation for achievement, while the rest is influenced by other variables of 61% that were not examined. This indicates that the variations of confidence with motivation of achievement is 39%. Based on the calculation, the tcount valued 2.898&gt; from ttable, with dk=48, worth 2.011 which means there is an influence of confidence (X) to motivation for achievement (Y).&nbsp; The hypothesis for Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected.This research aims to examine whether there is an influence of self-confidence in students' motivation to achievement in science lesson in elementary schools.     Students’ Concept Mastery with the Web Inquiry Environment

    Technology has a vital role in the field of education. After the COVID-19 pandemic, the learning system has become more flexible. To keep making arrangements according to the development of the situation in the classroom and to avoid student passivity, an online platform is needed that involves students in conducting investigations. The study aimed to determine the student’s ability to understand the concepts in the discussion of Archimedes' Law.The participants involved consisted of 53 grade 7 junior high school students. The method used was descriptive quantitative to investigate students' inquiry abilities and determine their understanding of concepts. The research on concept mastery shows a significant difference in using web inquiry environment after the treatment. Therefore, the web inquiry environment is essential to improve students' concept mastery.Implementing the web inquiry environment is recommended to consider topics with experiments to ensure that all inquiry processes can be carried out efficiently

    Edutainment Method Learning: Exploration of Variables and Implications on Children's Social Skills

    Purpose – The study aims to explore the differences in social skills between children who used the edutainment method with the game and a multimedia approach. Cards and treatment are the value of social skills in children’s reports.Design/methods/approach – The experimental method was designed with a treatment design one-shot case study. The pretest score was taken from the report cards that the child had previously received. Social skill score outcomes were taken after the treatment was completed.Findings – The results showed no significant differences in the social skills of children who were given the game approach edutainment method with children who were given the multimedia approach edutainment method. However, the average difference in the game approach and multimedia approach scores only has a value of 1,37500, so the difference is insignificant. These two treatments differ significantly from the child’s report card scores. The game approach has a difference of 4.27536 and sig 0.011 &lt; 0.05; for the multimedia approach, it has a difference of 3.79167 and sig 0.028 &lt;0.05. So it can be concluded that the edutainment method has a positive influence.Research implications/limitations – The teacher must know the child’s social skills so that he can choose the proper method of learning. The teacher must pay attention to the relationship between the characteristics possessed by each child and the learning method to be used. The teacher can use the game edutainment method in learning.Practical implications – Social skills can be built from several factors. The influencing factor is edutainment learning. This learning allows children to interact with other children and be able to re-communicate the activities they have done.Originality/value – This research is updated to explore the variables affecting children’s social skills.     This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the Introduction, Conection, Application, Reflection, and Extension (ICARE) learning model in order to improve students' communication and collaboration skills. This research method is quantitative research with a Quasi-Experiment Design approach. Data collection techniques used in this study were observation, tests and documentation. Collecting data in this study is a documentation technique. This method is used to obtain research data in the form of a list of student names, subject syllabus, even semester final exam questions grid, objective questions and even semester final exam answer keys.     The aim of this study is to determine the validation, practicality, feasibility, reliability coefficient, level of difficulty and the distinction between critical thinking based assessment to measure student critical thinking skills. This research uses a research and development type with a quantitative approach. This research procedure uses the Borg & Gall development model, which includes 8 steps, namely potential problems, information gathering, product development, expert validation, expert revision, small-group testing, product revision, final product. The research instruments used were questionnaires, interviews, and documentation. The subjects of this study were students of class VIII SMPN 8, SMPN 10, SMPN 22 Bengkulu City. The results showed that the results of the assessment instruments carried out met the criteria of valid, reliable, practical, feasible, had distinctive power, scoring questionnaires and the level of difficulty that was spread with the normal level of data distribution. This research is a research in the field of natural sciences that can be used by science subject educators to make a positive contribution to the development of natural sciences, particularly in junior high schools, MT equivalents and B non-formal education.     Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis keterkaitan antara self-efficacy (SE), kesadaran hidup sehat (KHS), dan hasil belajar (HB) IPA pada materi pencemaran lingkungan di SMP. Subjek pada penelitian ini adalah siswa SMP kelas 7 di salah satu Kabupaten Bandung yang letaknya dekat dengan lingkungan pasar dan stasiun kereta api. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuasi eksperimen. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah The Matching?Posttest Only?Control Group Design. Kelas eksperimen mendapatkan treatment berupa pemberian motivasi dan pengetahuan hidup sehat, sedangkan kelas kontrol tidak diberikan. Instrumen pengumpulan data menggunakan tiga instrumen yaitu: 1) Instrumen SelfEfficacy (SE), 2) Instrumen Kesadaran Hidup Sehat (KHS), 3) Instrumen Tes Hasil Belajar (HB). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kelas eksperimen memiliki nilai self-efficacy (SE), kesadaran hidup sehat (KHS), dan hasil belajar (HB) yang lebih tinggi daripada kelas kontrol.     This study aimed to analyze the correlation between Self-Efficacy (SE), Health Awareness (KHS) and Science Learning Outcomes (HB) on environmental pollution subject in Junior High School. Subjects in this study were 7th grade junior high school students in Bandung Regency which is located near to the market and the railway stationenvironment. The research method has been used was quasi-experimental. The research design has been used was The Matching -Posttest Only - Control Group Design. Experimental class received the treatment, it was motivation and knowledge of healthy living, while the control group was not given. The data collection instruments has been used was three instruments, it was; 1) Self-Efficacy (SE) Instrument, 2) Health Awareness (KHS) Instrument, 3) Learning Outcomes (HB) Instrument. Results showed that the experimental class gain a higher value of self-efficacy, health awareness and learning outcomes better than the control class. Results of correlation test showed that there is a positive correlation between self-efficacy (SE) with health awareness (KHS), self-efficacy (SE) with learning outcomes (HB), and health awareness (KHS) with learning outcomes (HB).
